Before we dive in, here are a few disclaimers.
My Credentials
I am a published author and educator. I hold a PhD in English with a focus in medieval literature, and I've taught at multiple universities, most recently the University of Southern California. I've done research in the fields of literature, composition, and pedagogy and published a wide range of work, from academic essays in peer-reviewed journals to memoirs to novels. My courses are based on my own research and personal experience and shaped by my interest in myths, archetypes, and the therapeutic power of narrative. My goal is to help you rewrite your personal story and unify your mind, body, and spirit so you can start living your most aligned life.
Cultural Sensitivity
My courses and workshops are focused around goddesses, because I believe working with goddess energy (aka centering feminine power and female sovereignty) is necessary to heal not just ourselves but our broken world.
Please proceed with sensitivity when working with a goddess who is not from your culture of origin. While I firmly believe we can feel a resonance with goddesses from around the world, it is extremely important to avoid appropriative practices, particularly if you are a member of the hegemonic (culturally dominant) or colonizing group. I invite you to learn as much about the Goddess and the traditions surrounding her as you can and to always move forward with humility and respect. If you wish to deepen your study, I encourage you to learn directly from one of her spiritual followers.
A.I.
I created every course and workshop and wrote every single word on this website myself. I never have used and never will use A.I. to write something for me. In our current era of A.I. slop, it's important to me that you know this information was carefully written by a human and not generated by a large language model. Creating this content has been a labor of love (it's taken me years to build and launch this platform), and putting it together has benefited me as much as I hope it will benefit you!
One of the aims of my courses is to encourage YOU to write as well. As I used to tell my students, the process of writing is just as important, if not more important, than the finished product, and I'm a staunch believer in the power of writing to change your life.
