You can start shifting into your dream reality today, simply by taking steps to embody your archetypes. On the following pages, I've provided ways to do that.

Some of these suggestions may seem superficial, but they're extremely effective for helping you ground into your unique goddess energy and, ultimately, changing your reality. Making simple changes in your outer world first sends signals to your subconscious mind that it's safe to make changes in your inner world. Our sense of self isn’t static; rather, it’s actively constructed and reassembled daily. This means that when we see ourselves living in alignment with a new identity, our brain begins to believe and adopt this new identity.

Starting simple is also always the best approach if you’re overwhelmed with work, parenting, etc. and/or if your dream life feels far away from your current reality. Doing one small thing every day to ground into your archetypes will start a ripple effect that will create lasting changes.

First, spend some time journaling about your archetypes. (If you don’t have time to sit down and write, answer the following questions in a voice memo.)

  • What does the Goddess of [Archetype] mean to me? When I hear this name, what images/ feelings/ sensations come into my mind and body?

  • How does this goddess dress?

  • How does this goddess carry herself?

  • What does this goddess enjoy doing?

  • How does this goddess help others?

  • How does this goddess shine?

  • Which attributes does this goddess archetype illuminate in me?

  • Which attributes is she inviting me to cultivate?

  • Which aspects of myself is this goddess inviting me to transform?

As you read through the suggestions on the following pages, think about how you already naturally embody your archetype’s energy and what you can do to embody it even more. The more you're able to tap into your authentic goddess energy, the more your life will begin to transform!

Examples

Below, I’ve highlighted several people close to me who are living in alignment with their goddess archetypes. On the following pages, I’ll share examples from their lives, as well as my own, for ways to connect with and embody your archetypes. (They’ve all completed this workshop and given me permission to share their stories!)

My friend Juliana is a Goddess of the Earth and a Goddess of the Underworld. She's worked for a long time in the conservation space, including for the Environmental Protection Agency, and she's always happiest when she's out in nature. She knows everything about plants and insects and wildlife, and her cats are her whole world. She's also very sensitive to energy and the unseen realms and, in addition to her full-time job, works as a spiritual growth and self-healing guide to help people reconnect with their inner light. She feels a deep calling to do spiritual work to protect the Earth, perhaps in the Amazon in her home country of Colombia, and hopes to guide others in the use of plant medicines and nature immersion to help them heal their relationship to themselves and the planet.

My friend Anna is a Goddess of Wisdom, a Goddess of Strength, and a Goddess of the Earth. She's a talented writer with a background in academia who's written everything from screenplays to children's books. She reads more than anyone I know; she loves going to the theater; she's always listening to educational podcasts; she's actively involved in politics; and she's one of the first people I turn to when I need advice. She also loves being active and tapping into the wisdom of her body. Every year, she plays in an all-women's basketball league and hikes Mount Baldy, and she’s recently taken up surfing! She recharges by being in nature and spending time with her cats, who are her greatest loves. Her powerful inner strength and intelligence have supported her in establishing a successful career as a screenwriter in L.A.

My friend Lauren is a Goddess of Love and Sexuality, a Goddess of the Arts, and a Goddess of the Sea. She is a multidimensional artist aiming to raise the collective consciousness with her music. She’s mastered a wide range of art forms—including modeling, singing, producing, DJ-ing, and organizing high-vibe music events (she even made her own music-paired oracle deck!)—and she weaves them together in a unified pursuit of her goals. She’s one of the most confident, embodied people I know and completely secure in her sense of self. Her goddess energy shines through in her art and content, and it’s been inspiring to watch her music influence and uplift everyone who hears it.

My friend Amber is a Goddess of the Earth, a Goddess of Travel and Adventure, and a Goddess of Healing. Her sweet dog is the most important person in her life, and she’s constantly spending time outside. She’s always seeking adventures and never turns down an opportunity for a new experience, like being invited to perform a traditional Japanese dance or hiking 50 miles through the Weminuche Wilderness in Colorado. Her recent excursions have included a week-long river rafting trip through the Grand Canyon and a rejuvenating trip to the jungles of Hawaii. She also works as a yoga instructor and is currently studying physiology so she can help other people heal through connecting with their bodies. I’ve never met someone as passionate about learning about the human body as Amber!

My friend Jen is a Goddess of Healing, a Goddess of the Earth, and a Goddess of the Arts. She launched her own business as a transformation coach with a holistic approach to healing and embodiment. For a long time, she embraced her Goddess of Strength archetype as she pursued a career as a spin instructor in NYC. She’s spent more than a decade in the fitness industry, teaching indoor cycling, yoga, mobility, breath work, cold exposure, and other movement practices. However, after doing the workshop, she realized her primary archetype is the Goddess of Healing, and her true passion lies in leading art-based rituals, retreats, and healing ceremonies in nature (with animals!) to help people reconnect with themselves.

My sister Emily is a Goddess of the Arts, a Goddess of Travel and Adventure, and a Goddess of the Sea. She’s a talented writer and director as well as a photographer, videographer, and camera operator. She also loves to express herself through fashion and beauty: She sews her own clothes, does her own nails, and makes her own accessories. She’s been living in London since 2020, where she frequently visits museums and goes to the theater and cinema. She loves to travel and experience new cultures and has been all over the world, from Saudi Arabia to Japan. She's not afraid to take the leap into the unknown, which is how she's been able to build a life for herself in another country.

My brother Christopher (yes, men can take this quiz too!) is a Goddess of the Underworld and a Goddess of the Arts. He's extremely artistic and loves fashion. He works as a stylist in the film industry, and he’s created his own clothing line and business to highlight independent designers. He does other kinds of design work as well (he helped me create this website!), and he embraces the shadow aspects of humanity in his art. Like my sister, he lives in London, where he's active in the grunge and punk scene. By embracing his archetypes, he’s been able to organize incredible events with ethereal underworld vibes to showcase local artists and creators.

My daughter Kiri is a Goddess of the Earth and Goddess of the Arts. She is obsessed with animals, especially our Siberian Husky Luna, and she regularly watches videos about wildlife rehabilitation on YouTube. She’s always asking to spend time in nature and with animals. She’s also very artistic and loves to draw, paint, sculpt, sing, act, make music, crochet, and do virtually any kind of craft. I help her embody her archetypes by encouraging her exploration of her personal style and her artistic talents—she recently applied for her school’s theater production class and tried out for the lead in the musical—and we frequently go on nature excursions with Luna or do other animal-focused activities. Last year, we stayed on a working farm in New Forest, England. She was in heaven!
